Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections and end-use metering activities to verify or identify energy efficiency improvements for commercial, industrial and residential customers
- Follow measurement and verification plans during site visits to achieve site specific verification
- Research and develop protocols for new technologies, including networked lighting controls and beneficial electrification measures (heat pumps and backup storage systems).
- Lead meetings with customers and clients
- Write well-organized reports documenting findings and recommendations
- Support the development and maintenance of technical resources, such as energy savings calculators.
- Provide regular updates about the status of ongoing projects and engineering and evaluation assignments
- Reinforce our commitment to clients, being mindful of their satisfaction and future needs
- Providing proactive and flexible role in performing on demand tasks and fulfilling ancillary duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Travel to local area customer sites, with occasional overnight travel
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related engineering or technical field, sustainability, energy and public policy, or related disciplines
- Strong written and oral presentation skills.
- Basic understanding of analysis and interpretation of energy usage data, electric tariffs, wholesale energy market data, and renewable energy data
- Familiarity with collaboration between data engineers and data scientists and building productive cross-functional relationships
- Open to managing multiple work streams concurrently and prioritizing workflows.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with building energy modeling, energy use billing analysis, energy savings calculation algorithms and installing building energy use metering equipment.
- Experience/expertise with data analytics/statistical packages; SAS, SPSS, Python, Stata, Excel, or other software is a plus.
